The
two-story building was converted
into new offices for a local
law firm. The building, originally
constructed in 1919 and used
as a dry goods store, pharmacy,
and most recently, an office
supply warehouse, was restored
on the exterior while the interior
was reconfigured to create a
broad central hall onto which
open offices and support spaces.
The City of Beaumont offered
low interest loans as incentive
to the redevelopment; in addition,
the project was eligible for
federal income tax credits for
historic properties.
